KEEPING AIDS AWARENESS ALIVE

Prince York of Schaumburg-Lippe, the Creative Director of YORK Watches at his company Schaumburg Watch, started off on a trip around the world in 100 days with the AIDS activist Joachim Franz and a convoy of five 4x4 vehicles. The theme of the 2011 world aids awareness expedition is to move the world,  creating goal awareness for keeping up the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Joachim Franz has been an athlete for 10 years. In 2000 he began using sports as a means of communicating the topics HIV and AIDS. For the first time in 2008, he expanded the “aids awareness expedition” that he had initiated to become the “world aids awareness expedition”.
The expedition team set out for Canada on 17th April where the actual expedition began on 19th April. During the voyage, Prince York of Schaumburg-Lippe will fittingly be wearing the move the world watch on his wrist. The watch can also be purchased – a donation of 300 Euros from the purchase price of each watch goes toward the fund-raising projects of the move the world campaign.
A total of 1,000 watches will be available for 1.450 Euros, there are only 55 of the depicted limited edition of a robust automatic watch with a Swiss movement and a PVD-coated case. The watch is waterproof up to a depth of 1,000 metres and delivered in a solid water-resistant outdoor case. In addition to the red ribbon, the dial of the limited edition watch also has the edition number printed on it.
