On Sunday 31 March, four retired avid Suzuki fans began a 28,000 mile
fundraising tour around the world in aid of Save
the Children and the Oakhaven Hospice in Lymington, Hampshire.
The expedition was masterminded by retired businessman Les Carvall. The
big idea originally came about after Les admired a large convoy of classic cars
driving past him on the Paris – Peking Rally.
Since that day two years ago, Les has tirelessly set up the huge
logistical project virtually unaided and the team of four men who are all in
their Seventies will travel alone with no frills, luxuries or even a support
crew.
