FIRST GLIMPSE OF HONDA'S NEW SMALL SUV FOR EUROPE

Honda has revealed the first images of the brand's new European version of its small SUV ahead of its premiere at the 2014 Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris next month.

The HR-V (called Vezel in Japan) is Honda's new entry into Europe's fast-growing small SUV segment. The unique exterior design of the new HR-V prototype echoes that of a coupé, with sharp, dynamic lines that link the sleek upper body with the stable and planted lower body. This coupé-esque elegance is achieved without compromising the interior practicality of the car.

HONDA VEZEL WILL LAUNCH IN US UNDER NAME HR-V

Honda in US will continue to expand its lineup with the all-new compact SUV, the Honda HR-V (it is Vezel in Japan, for Europe the name still to be determined) that will come to market this winter.

It is produced at the automaker’s newest North American manufacturing facility located in Celaya, Mexico, which allows for production flexibility to meet market demand.

LITTLE BROTHER FOR HONDA CR-V

Honda has unveiled the new Urban SUV production model at the Tokyo Motor Show. The new model will be named Vezel for the Japanese market and will be launched on 20th December 2013. In Europe it will be launched during 2015, with the name being confirmed nearer to launch.

In Japan, Honda will launch both a hybrid and petrol model of the Vezel. The hybrid model will be equipped with Sport Hybrid i-DCD (Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive) that combines a 1.5 litre direct injection engine with a high-output electric motor, and the petrol model will be equipped with a 1.5 litre direct injection engine. Adopting new-generation powertrain technologies, the Vezel delivers both a dynamic driving character and excellent fuel economy for both models.
