HEALING THE WOUNDS OF THE TSUNAMI

HANSA-FLEX XWORLD Tour has been travelling through Europe and Asia. Participants have encountered all sorts of adventures: camping under the stars, crossing the Mongolian steppe and visiting teeming metropolises, Chinese bureaucracy and overwhelming generosity. In a word: Taking part in XWORLD was a real adventure.

The convoy covered 43 exciting stages in 34 countries and two continents. These included the legendary region of Tibet, the empire of Genghis Khan and the Great Wall of China as well as the Terracotta Army in the imperial city of Xián. Places such as Lake Baikal in Siberia, the Gobi desert or the unforgettable routes of the Orient Express or the Chinese Silk Road.

Stage 22 in Indonesia was the half-way of the tour. It meant ten months of exciting adventures behind the expedition with another gripping ten months still ahead. On this stage, the adventurers experienced the hustle and bustle of big cities, welcome receptions hosted by representatives of the local authorities, idyllic palm-fringed beaches and jungle camps with wild animals such as alligators and poisonous snakes. They also visited the Indonesian village of Suake Nie, which HANSA-FLEX helped rebuild following the tsunami disaster.
