By providing three new Ford
Ranger vehicles, Ford has extended its support for the UK’s longest-running
charity off-roading event for the 12th year in succession. The
Mac 4x4 UK Challenge is a three-day off-road endurance treasure hunt in aid of
Macmillan Cancer Support.
This year 69 teams took part, raising more than £80,000 and taking the total, raised over 12 years, to around £950,000. The two double-cab and one single-cab Ford Ranger models were used by course officials in planning the event, including checking the suitability of off-road routes, and marshalling the event, which includes monitoring competitors and rescuing any stranded vehicles.
