Mitsubishi unveiled the all-new Triton one-ton pickup truck - one of its long-time global best-sellers - in Thailand yesterday. The all-new Triton gets its full redesign in nine years
and marks the fifth-generation model.
Mitsubishi
Motors launched its first pickup truck in 1978. In the 36 years covering the
first-generation Forte to the fourth-generation Triton/L200 models, Mitsubishi’s
pickup trucks have gained a strong user base worldwide, selling over four million units. Pickup truck manufacturing focused on Thailand from the third-generation model and it is produced at Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co. Ltd.’s Laem Chabang Plant. The all-new Triton will be launched sequentially in
ASEAN, Oceania, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and
Latin America, eventually
exporting it to some 150 countries.
