GREEN LIGHT FOR RED DEVIL

Lamborghini confirmed a luxury SUV as a third model to join its product range. The market introduction of the series model is planned for 2018.
A concept of the car was first presented as the Lamborghini Urus in 2012 at the Beijing auto show. Target markets will be primarily the USA, China, the Middle East, UK, Germany and Russia. The annual volumes will be around 3,000 vehicles and will double the company's current sales performance.

WORLD DEBUT FOR RANGE ROVER HYBRID LONG WHEELBASE

Land Rover unveiled the Range Rover Hybrid Long Wheelbase at the Beijing motor show. China is recognised by Land Rover as a potentially strong market for its new premium hybrids, whilst the long wheelbase design is identified as best suiting Chinese customers' preferences for luxury and spaciousness.



Global order books will open in May and first deliveries to customers in China are expected from the end of the year. Together with the Range Rover Sport Hybrid, it will be the first diesel hybrid model from any manufacturer to be offered in China. It offers an unprecedented combination of premium luxury, interior space, exceptional fuel and emissions performance and no compromise in Land Rover's renowned breadth of capability.

CITROËN TO UNVEIL C-XR CONCEPT SUV

The C-XR Concept, unveiled at this year’s Beijing Motor Show, previews the first SUV developed jointly between Citroën and the DongFeng Motor Group.



The Citroën C-XR Concept features compact styling with an assertive SUV look. The body of C-XR features ideal dimensions: 4.26 m of length, 1.79 m width and height of 1.56 m. With the longest wheelbase in the segment at 2.65 m, the C-XR provides outstanding spaciousness, particularly noticeable for rear passengers. The concept also features raised ground clearance with large 17-inch wheels.

HYUNDAI LAUNCHES CHINA-EXCLUSIVE SUV

Hyundai unveiled the ix25 concept model at 2014 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. The small-sized SUV is scheduled to be launched exclusively in China later this year.


The ix25 concept hints at a premium look, based on Hyundai's evolved Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. Harmony between a bold front, voluminous side, sporty rear and other details complete the premium small-sized SUV's design.

X6-CONTENDER FROM MERCEDES

With the Concept Coupé SUV, Mercedes-Benz is announcing the possible expansion of the previously uniform SUV off-roader family.



This extremely sporty study impresses as a typical representative of the long-standing coupé tradition at Mercedes-Benz. At the same time, the Concept Coupé SUV stands out with its muscular wings, large wheel arches, imposing 22-inch wheels, high beltline and generous ground clearance. Its dynamic handling on the road is also of a superior level. The variable dynamic control system "Dynamic Select Control" provides four fundamentally different transmission modes and an individually programmable setup.

LINCOLN ENTERS THE CHINESE MARKET

The Lincoln unveiled the MKX Concept at Auto China 2014 in Beijing, which hints at a global SUV that will become the third of four all-new Lincoln vehicles due by 2016.



Drawing design inspiration from airplanes and motorbikes, the MKX Concept evokes feelings of power and agility, offering a glimpse of the American luxury brand’s future as it enters the rapidly growing Chinese market.
